Updates relating to all emergency road closures across Stirling. 

The whole of The Avenue in Bridge of Allan will be closed between 16 September and 6 October 2022 due to a dangerous building.

No access for vehicles, and an alternative route for pedestrians exists via Henderson Street, Union Street, Keir Street and vice versa

The road has had to be closed due to a piece of roof hanging over the road. The property involved is located at the north end of the street  at the Station Road end. The closure is likely to be in place for a short time.

Emergency Closure

Murray Place - From its junction with the Station Road to its junction with Port Street.

King Street - For its entire length from 12pm to 2pm

Alternative Route:

via Station Road, Goosecroft Road, Craigs Roundabout, Wellgreen, St Ninians Road, Port Street, Dumbarton Road East, Albert Place, Corn Exchange Road.

Emergency Parking SuspensionMurray Place - On both sides of the road from its junction with King Street in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 40 metres or thereby

King Street - On both sides of the road from its junction with Murray Place in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 40 metres or thereby from 7am to 2pm.

These restrictions will apply from on 11 September 2022 to facilitate the Provost issuing a Proclamation following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Map information

The C40 road will be closed from the A84 to Sommers Lane from 13 to 19 September for emergency Scottish Water works.

The alternative route is via the B8705, A84 and vice versa.

 

Maxwell Place will be closed from Barnton Street to Viewfield Street.

The one way system and parking have been suspended on Viewfield Street for its entire length.

The restrictions will be in place from 13 to 19 September for emergency gas works.

The whole of Upper Glen Road in Bridge of Allan will be closed between 15 and 22 September for emergency Scottish Water work.

The alternative route is via Glen Road.
