Members of the Planning and Regulation Panel greenlit plans by developers Allanwater Developments for the plot at Maitland Crescent.
The proposal comprises of 4 one bedroom apartments, 20 two bedroom apartments, 7 two bedroom terraced houses, 5 three bedroom terraced houses, 2 three bedroom semi-detached houses, 4 three bedroom detached houses and 2 four bedroom detached houses. The development also includes three parking courts and a central green.
Convenor of the Planning and Regulation Panel, Councillor Alasdair MacPherson, said: “This project will provide a supply of good quality, energy efficient housing on a site that has lain vacant for a number of years. We are committed to providing new homes for those who need them and I look forward to the project being developed.”
Vice Convenor, Councillor Danny Gibson, said: “These new houses will be built at a prominent location on a key entrance into Stirling city centre, and ensuring a positive reuse of the site is an important step in improving the area for the communities who already live there.”
