Work is being carried out to improve the A875 as part of Stirling Council’s commitment to upgrading the rural road network.
Road Work Sign

Resurfacing will begin tomorrow (Wednesday 23rd October) between Endrick Bridge and Boquhan and is scheduled to last until Wednesday 30th October.

The existing road surface is in a very poor condition. The works will require the replacement of the existing base and surface of the road to an overall depth of 80mm.

These improvements follow on from the recent drainage and footway upgrade works on this section of road.

A road closure will be in place between 8am-6pm, with diversions in place via the A811 – A81 – A875 (please see attached map).

An alternative diversion for HGVs is also in place via the A875 – A811 – A809 – B834 – A81 – A875.

There will be no closure on Friday or Saturday, but weather and resource dependent, the road will be closed on Sunday.

Access for residents within the closure area will be permitted.

Due to the material used there will be a period where no vehicle access will be possible at all when this has been freshly laid.

UPDATE:

From 6pm on 24 Oct, First Midland services X10, X10A, 507 & 513 will return to their normal route via Boquhan.

From 8.30am on Mon (28 Oct), these services will revert to the diversion route until 6pm each day.

The road will also be open to cars over the weekend.
