The Care Inspectorate rated the nursery “very good” both for its quality of care and support, and for the quality of management and leadership.
Staff were commended for their enabling attitude which inspectors stated had created a nurturing environment where children are believed in and helped to reach their potential, while staff relationships with children were observed as kind, warm, caring and loving.
The report follows on from a similarly glowing review in March 2016.
Other key strengths highlighted by the inspectors included:
• Children were secure, confident and able to be themselves
• Children enjoyed close, trusting relationships with the team and each other, contributing to their emotional resilience.
• The forward thinking, robust and reflective management and staff gave inspectors confidence that improvements would continue to be identified and made.
Convener of the Children and Young Person’s Committee for Stirling, Councillor Susan McGill, said: “This is a great report for Fallin Nursery and shows the hard work, care and attention of staff is consistently paying off.
“Early years care is crucial to a child’s development and it is pleasing to see the team at Fallin are creating such a well-balanced and progressive approach to their work.”
Head of Nursery, Denise Wallace, said: “The nursery has undergone many changes in recent years and we are building a team here that takes pride in its work with a focus on enhancing children’s experiences.
“We are keen to continue to keep standards high, develop and constantly improve to meet all the individual learning and care needs of our children and help them meet their full potential.”
