Active Stirling and Stirling Council have just agreed a new and ambitious partnership to provide community focused sport, physical activity and wellbeing services to the wider Stirling area. This long term arrangement will safeguard the provision of high quality facilities while ensuring that services, so vital to the health and wellbeing of our community, are readily accessible through a trusted partner.
We have an exciting opportunity for talented, community focused individuals to join with us by serving as volunteer ‘Independent Directors’ on the Board of Directors of Active Stirling. This key role is at the heart of the organisation, focusing on its strategic direction over the next 5 years and how it will ensure really positive community outcomes.

• A desire to see people improve their wellbeing through being active
• Business and / or entrepreneurial acumen
• Leadership
Active Stirling is a registered charity, therefore the role of ‘Independent Director’ does carry some responsibilities, however, these will be explained to you.

It manages, on behalf of Stirling Council, The PEAK and Forthbank, and provides services from these locations, together with the schools estate and other community facilities.
