Active Stirling, with Stirling Council as the overall sole member of the charity, will deliver sport, physical activity and wellbeing services across the Stirling Council area.

Convenor of Stirling Council’s Community Planning & Regeneration Committee, Councillor Chris Kane, said, “This is a great step towards a renewed and reinvigorated partnership between Stirling Council and Active Stirling. We both want to maximise the participation, health and overall wellbeing benefits of sport and physical activity across our communities and our local economy.

“Together we will continue to address health inequalities and ensure that whatever your age, your ability or your location, you will have every opportunity to get fit, stay fit and be active throughout your life.”

Ken Lewandowski, Chair of Active Stirling said, “This is a great way forward for us all to work together and make sure we deliver the very best of services for the people of Stirling, and continue our focus to change lives through getting as many people at all different stages in their lives to get involved in some way with physical activity and sport.”
