Councillor Susan McGill, Education Committee Convener, said: “It is fantastic news to see so many of our young people across the region are going on to further education, training and employment but more work needs to be done. We will continue to work hard with the learning communities in the Stirling Council area to make sure every local child has access to a wide range of opportunities and the support they need when leaving school to make sure they choose a path which is right for them.”

The proportion of young people recorded as being unemployed after leaving school in Stirling was 2.7%, a drop of 1.5% year on year and well below the national average of 4.3%.
