The local authority was awarded the Cabinet Office-approved Customer Service Excellence Standard last year in recognition of the high level of care provided by its Housing Service.
An annual follow-up inspection has confirmed retention of the Customer Service Excellence Standard and, on top of this, the Council has achieved a Compliance-Plus Award reflecting the high quality of the service's interactions with a wide range of third parties.
In order for an organisation to be recognised as achieving Customer Service Excellence, it must be successfully assessed and certified against the standard set by a licensed certification body approved by the Cabinet Office.
The Housing Service is responsible for providing and facilitating sustainable and affordable housing across the Stirling Council area, whilst working with tenants and others to deliver a transparent quality service.
The Housing Service was praised by inspectors for its deep understanding of, and commitment to, customer service excellence, which was displayed from senior management through to operations and front line staff.
Convener of the Housing Portfolio, Councillor Evelyn Tweed, said, “We are delighted that our housing team has retained this exacting standard. This is a reflection on the high level of professionalism and customer care shown throughout the team. Maintaining high standards of customer care is a priority for Stirling Council and our staff deserve the highest praise for continuing to provide such an outstanding level of care.”
