The local election results for Stirling Council have now been announced, following today’s ballot count in The Albert Halls.
Following the recent Scottish Local Government Boundary review the number of councillors in the Stirling Council area has increased from 22 to 23, covering seven wards with a collective population of around 93,750 residents. Overall turnout across the Stirling Council area was 53.3%.
Ward 1 Trossachs and Teith had a 59.4% voter turnout, and the three Councillors elected are Martin Earl (Conservative), Jeremy McDonald (Conservative) and Evelyn Tweed (SNP).
Ward 2 Forth and Endrick had a 60.8% voter turnout, and the three Councillors elected are Alistair Berrill (Conservative), Robert Davies (Conservative) and Graham Lambie (SNP).
Ward 3 Dunblane and Bridge of Allan had a 61.8% voter turnout, and the four Councillors elected are Douglas Dodds (Conservative), Graham Houston (SNP), Alastair Majury (Conservative) and Alasdair Tollemache (Green).
Ward 4 Stirling North had a 45.2% voter turnout, and the four Councillors elected are Danny Gibson (Labour), Susan McGill (SNP), Ross Oxburgh (Conservative) and Jim Thomson (SNP).
Ward 5 Stirling West had a 55.3% voter turnout, and the three Councillors elected are Neil Benny (Conservative), Scott Farmer (SNP) and Christine Simpson (Labour).
Ward 6 Stirling East had a 45.7% voter turnout, and the three Councillors elected are Bryan Flannigan (Conservative), Chris Kane (Labour) and Alison Laurie (SNP).
Ward 7 Bannockburn had a 41.8% voter turnout, and the three Councillors elected are Maureen Bennison (SNP), Margaret Brisley (Labour) and Alasdair MacPherson (SNP).
