WWF's Earth Hour Event

Join us for the Earth Hour switch-off on Saturday 25th March, 8.30-9.30pm. Take inspiration from the hundreds of thousands of people across the globe taking action to darken the night skies as a symbolic gesture of support for action to curb climate change.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of WWF’s Earth Hour and it is set to be bigger and better than ever before. Earth Hour was a huge success in Scotland in 2016 with more than 160 national and local landmarks turning off their lights and schools, businesses, organisations and individuals across the country taking part in events and activities.  6 million people took part across the UK last year, joining people from over 178 countries with global landmarks such as Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower and Sydney Opera House switching off in support of this cause.

Why not use the occasion to organise a candle-lit dinner at home with some friends, and chat about what other action you can take throughout the year to tackle climate change?  Or wrap up warm and go star gazing star-gazing, clouds permitting of course!

You can find out more information and pledge your support on the WWF Earth Hour site here.
