A recent unannounced inspection of Castleview Nursery has shown that the quality of care and support is ‘very good.’
Inspectors visiting the service found that staff provided ‘high quality support’ to meet the needs of individual children, with children participating in a ‘wide range of therapeutic and educational experiences’ including hydrotherapy sessions, music activities and sensory-based learning activities.
The report also noted that the close working partnerships with both parents and visiting specialists benefitted children, and their ‘changing needs were met and their health and wellbeing effectively supported.’
Staff routinely monitor the children’s progress and celebrate their achievements, and parents are kept well informed and involved in their child’s development.
Nursery Head Donna Wheater said: “I am very proud of the continuing hard work and dedication shown by our staff which ensures children attending Castleview receive the best quality educational experiences, expertly tailored to their needs.”
Stirling Council’s Education Convenor Alistair Berrill said: “All the staff at Castleview Nursery are to be commended for this report from the Care Inspectorate. The children at the nursery are clearly being very well looked after by dedicated staff.”
