In response to today’s announcement, Stirling Council’s Environment Convenor Cllr Danny Gibson said:

“Stirling Council has today been notified by the DPEA (Planning and Environmental Appeals Division) of the outcome of the Murrayshall planning appeal.  We are pleased to note the decision by the DPEA to dismiss the planning appeal and refuse planning permission.

“The proposal has been deemed unacceptable on grounds of the impact of traffic noise and the unsuitability of the road access along Polmaise Road, and therefore contrary to Policy 1.1 of the Local Development Plan, does not meet the requirements of Primary Policy 1, and also fails the operational assessment under Primary Policy 11(c).

“The decision of the Reporter is final and all relevant parties have been notified. I’m sure this decision will be warmly welcomed by the Cambusbarron community.”
